And it's all over. Despite some incredible performances from visitors, England just played better in the end, and won us back the Ashes after 16 years away..

Fuck. Yeah.

Cricket. This shot is the umpire removing the bails and stumps (the stumps are the uprights, the bails are the little bits that sit on top of them) to signal the end of the current match.

That means the five match series ends with England 2-1 up (this, and one other game, were drawn), meaning we win back the Ashes (England/Australian cricket trophy, check Wikipedia for more info), which we haven't had for 16 years.

So I'm very very happy indeed, as are lots of other people in the UK.
