"And as you cross the circle line,
Well the ice wall creaks behind
You're a rabbit on the run.
And the silver splinters fly
In the corner of your eye,
Shining in the setting sun.
Well do you ever get the feeling
That the story's too damn real
And in the present tense.
Or that everbody's on the stage
And it seems like you're the only
Person sitting in the audience
Skating away, skating away, skating away
On the thin ice of the new day"

Thank you! Sometimes, it does seem like hand embroidery has gone the way of the dodo, but there are a lot of people out there who still really enjoy doing it.
I'm an absolute disaster around a sewing machine, always have been (which is why I don't have one), but I learned to embroider when I was a little sproglet from my grandmother and great grandmother.
These are gorgeous but I'm sorry they're a result of your umm quiet time
My favourite is the skully one
Thanks, Mara, JD and SLG!
Thanks, Dhamaka. I love the Skully patterns, there are so many at Urban Threads that I would like to do.
I'm afraid my spine has had me flat on my back for the last couple of weeks, and I need to stay that way for a bit more, so I haven't even gotten any more stitching done.
Tentacles! Love the tentacles!
And sorry to hear about your spine. Hope you get better soon.
Dania, hee! I love those tentacles too, one of these days, I'm doing those super large on a bedspread.
Thanks, I'll be fine, unfortunately, my spine gets to dictate my days all too often now. I'll placate it, then get back to business as usual.
I'll bet your grandmother and great-grandmother never imagined you'd be embroidering cephalopods, skulls, and rats! ^-^
Heh. I doubt they'd be surprised, considering much of the artwork of mine they saw over the years. ;D
