A couple of days walking in Pembrokeshire. It's not Coromandel, but it's pretty good, said my buddy. Easily as beautiful as Coromandel, I think.

I know this part of Wales, it is exactly as you describe it.

It was a bit of a revelation for me Twiglet. I know Fshguard, Strumblehead and Newport way, but this was more sedate territory (Strumblehead is so wild). We did some rock scrambling and enjoyed the sun - T-shirts even!

Thanks all.

Rhys - Snowdonia.? Tryfan by any chance? Walked that, then up Bristly Peak and along a couple of years back. Awesome.

In all honesty I'm not quite sure what the plan is yet. Snowdon itself is definatley on the cards but hopefully some nice ridge walks too. I'm really looking forward to it. Last time I climbed Snowdon must have been 2003/4ish.

T - yes I did climb Tryfan! :) Climbed 8 peaks in 72 hours :)

Man, I can feel your bone tiredness then. We went early May. Woke at 5am, walked up Tryfan then up Bristly ridge and along a couple of other peaks. Good trek.

How did your walk go?

rhys says:

See my blog for some photos but we had three days of really good walks. We had really good weather and certainly felt the aches every morning.

Tryfan was day one. Rather alarmingly we climbed the wrong peak first (I forget the name) as we missed the path's fork in the fog so Tryfan was the second peak of the day.

Snowdon horseshoe was on day two, which I think was five peaks. I enjoyed Crib Goch which I hadn't done before.

Then Cader Idris on day three, as we were travelling south back towards Cardiff.

All in all a very good weekend away!
