Salmon poached in liquorice gel with asparagus, vanilla mayo, pink grapefruit and golden trout roe.

Anjou pigeon with blood pudding puree

Risotto of spelt and Umbles

Hot and Iced tea (too exciting to take photo first! cup was half hot tea and half cold, with no visible border!)

Taffety tart with blackcurrent sorbet, fennel, rose and candied lemon. The sorbet + fennel was one of the best mouthfuls of the whole meal.

The BFG. Black Forest Gateaux with frozen kirsch cream, served with the smell of the black forest.

Cheese course (not pictured)

Whisk(e)y wine gums, served stuck to a picture frame.

How much? :)

£1500 for six. But three people had the wine tasting menu (which was incredible), the cheese course was extra, the teas and coffees and (drinking) whiskeys were extra too.

It was worth it - we didn't feel ripped off (although did feel quite a lot more poor on the way home!). I'd rather have this meal once than ten pub lunches (or five mid-range restaurant meals), which work out about the same price.

Good to get the view of someone who I am inclined to believe wouldn't fall for hype.
Really pleased you enjoyed it.

That doesn't seem too bad really - mum went on the site and saw the price for just the taster thing and I guess it works out at under a tenner a plate. When looking at all this food and knowing the place I'd estimated it at twice the price.
