Not one, not two, but three ripe tomatoes! (As of three days ago.)

So, how are yours doing, swamprose? :)

You win!!! They are scrumptious. I am in a losing war with the raccoons...they stole my eggplant and now it's the tomatoes..:(

Yay! :) Those three have already been made into a salad, and I can say they were delicious.

Sorry to hear about the raccoons :(. Not a concern here, but I was getting worried that the excessive out-of-season rains would spoil everything.

I've been eating tomatoes, celery and peas too... This year my green peppers are horribly bitter though and of the 15 sweet corn seedlings I planted the slugs got 12 and only one has born anything worth eating :/

My green peppers are fine, but the cucumbers... not so much. They didn't grow, didn't ripen and turned yellow. I think it's because part of the soil it was on collapsed due to the rain. It must have damaged the root.

I must try sweet corn next year...

I'd recommend it - so different fresh! I've tried miniature and regular sizes in pots now and much prefer the regular size which doesn't seem to care about the pot at all! The biggest challenge for me has been to keep slugs away until they're big enough to withstand being munched
