Thank you Viv and Spiderbaby. I'm pleased with the photo as I only had my phone on me when I spotted the mistletoe and I've hardly ever used the camera bit before.
Sorry for cutting your day short Spiderbaby by posting overnight but the site was playing up yesterday so when I checked just before bed and it seemed OK I posted quick before it changed it's mind : )
Merry Christmas both, now I must get to work otherwise it will be a bleak New year!!
So lovely. We must get some this year, if only for the kisses. Merry Christmas to you.
G speaks!
Who needs to buy it and risk killing the cat when the trees are full of it. I love to snog up against a tree trunk, my favourite outdoor pass time after rolling in the grass....
Sooo many comments!
Viv, Blackie Onassis is our (G's) cat. G has posted pictures of him most recently at Halloween. He is black. We have some really fabulous fake mistletoe which we put up over our front door nearer Christmas so that unsuspecting visitors of either gender and any species will get G's tongue half way to their ribs...
I'm a G too but no one ever calls me that but everyone calls him either G or Mr G : )
Edit: His initials are G G
Half way to the ribs you say..............................?
Hope you both have a great christmas and new year. Like the picture too.:)
Lovely pic and thanks for the warning about the poisonous nature of the misiltoe berries. Love the poem, so reassuring that poetry is still close to the hearts of the next generation :)
Thank you Strange Little Girl and Maggie. : )
But I teach poetry to the next generation. Not this one admittedly but we have done some of de la Mare's poems for children this term. The Listeners is always a huge favourite with the young people. Also Robert Louis Stevenson : )
Oh how lovely. I so rarely see real mistletoe except from a distance up a tree. According to the TV the other morning this is a bumper year for it but I should hate to poison Fable : ) And de la Mare... ♥
Beautiful photo, wishing you and G a warm and wonderful Very Merry. :D
