"And as you cross the circle line,
Well the ice wall creaks behind
You're a rabbit on the run.
And the silver splinters fly
In the corner of your eye,
Shining in the setting sun.
Well do you ever get the feeling
That the story's too damn real
And in the present tense.
Or that everbody's on the stage
And it seems like you're the only
Person sitting in the audience

Skating away, skating away, skating away On the thin ice of the new day"

Got six more sculpted yesterday and painted today. I am having fun. :D

Viv says:

never have enough family time to make decorations together now

the girls are always dissapointed if I don't put a tree up - but the doing of it together is what it's about - have to do so much on my own some of which gives me pleasure for sure and giving other people pleasure is fantastic - but equally important is the sharing - those are the memories
glad you've had fun - creativity, imagination a new world is born :)

Oh, wow. They all look great. The octopus in #1 is especially lovable, and I also love those squids' eyes. And the tentacles, of course. :)

Viv, so true. A great deal of the fun is in the sharing and making memories together. I haven't had a tree to decorate for years and years, so it's almost all new for me again. :)

Thank you, Dania! I'm amazed I managed an octopus. Got two more done today and actually did a cuttlefish, thanks to Corvus tristis. It's been a whole lot of fun so far.

These are fab! I love the colours.

Dania says:

Nice, a cuttlefish. Now I'm officially jealous and I'm seriously tempted to copy your idea one of these days. Problem is, I don't remember when the last time I sculpted anything was, but I'm sure it came out terrible. *sigh*

Dania says:

No, wait, I do! It was in 6th grade and it was, uh, a dolphin. A fat dolphin. With some severe spine problems. But a dolphin nonetheless. :D

Hi there Caine!
Miss me?
These are superb! You make them?
XL-ent!

Thanks, Nige!

Dania, trust me, I am not talented as a sculptor. At all. Anything more complex than this, forget it. Jellyfish are pretty easy. :D

Hi, Joker! Yes, I did miss you, a lot! Yes, I made these, I've been having a lot of fun with Cephalopodmas.

Thanks, Wendle. I had a lot of fun. :)

Thanks, Maggie. I've wanted to do this the last few years, but didn't get around to it before now. :D

These are lovely. I agree with Viv, it is not as much fun decorating the tree without my girls. Not that I decorated the tree with my girls as uch..
