"And as you cross the circle line,
Well the ice wall creaks behind
You're a rabbit on the run.
And the silver splinters fly
In the corner of your eye,
Shining in the setting sun.
Well do you ever get the feeling
That the story's too damn real
And in the present tense.
Or that everbody's on the stage
And it seems like you're the only
Person sitting in the audience

Skating away, skating away, skating away On the thin ice of the new day"

and I'm loving it! We aren't buried in snow. There's almost no snow. It was 42F today and I was wearing shorts when I filled the bird feeder. Oh, I wish, I wish it would stay this way.

That 5th one looks like a clothes pin. :)

Caine says:

It does, that's what I thought it was at first. Been sitting in the snow and water for a while.

Caine says:

Oh, winter will hit eventually, with a vengeance, no doubt. For now, it's really nice to not be buried by two blizzards already!

Earthlad says:

Interesting set, you have ladybird in winter? And the cloths peg, sorry but why is whatever it is, pretending to be a clothes peg

19th Dec 2011, 01:37

Caine says:

Earthlad, you could have knocked me over when I found the ladybird and she was alive. That's a pencil, a split pencil pretending to be a clothes peg. One of those odd things lying about.

Earthlad says:

Ha ha oh silly me, yea I see it now a pencil, I thought it was some grasshopper type thing, lol thanks

Good to see you're still out & about with your camera Caine, I do far too little of this kind of thing any more. Must get back into the habit of snapping everything that catches my eye.
Good luck when the winter arrives there!

Caine says:

Actually, I've done almost no getting out with my camera for most of the year, been busy working on the current art piece.

I've been trying to get back in the habit, especially now that Moblog is up and running again.

Thank you!

Thanks, Essitam. I love those old clothespegs.

Wendle, I know! I was so surprised.

Thanks, Maggie.

Thanks, Taniwha. My neighbour's clothespegs, I consider them feral now. :D
