Tonight Santa will be visiting the child in all of us!
He had a broad face and a little round belly,
That shook when he laughed, like a bowl full of jelly,
He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself;
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.
Santa Claus as portrayed in the poem 'A Visit From Saint Nicholas' composed in 1822 by Clement C. Moore.
Best wishes from Will, Virginia and Gunner as the sounds of the day give way to the silence of night and the child in all of us longs for a tangible connection with Santa as we reach out with our imagination for the freedom comfort and joy of believing he is on his way.
Also a special thought goes out to all our servicemen and women who are in harms way and families longing for their safe return. And for all those whose loved ones won't be coming home, for whatever reason, I hope these few words will give you comfort in knowing that so many people you don't know are thinking of you.
Seasons Greetings to you and yours from me and mine. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to one and all.
