Knowledge pursues me but I am faster.......

If you can’t dazzle them with brilliance, then baffle them with bullshit.......

.......One day, we will look back on this, laugh nervously, and change the subject…

Only in our dreams are we free. The rest of the time we need wages.

A little late this year, can you spot the new band member?
For those new to Moblog:
This is the link to Alex’s moblog

Link to the original Band post

Alex was the son of a very good friend of mine who sadly died from Leukaemia at the age of 20. It was he who got me involved in Moblog. He blogged the progress of his illness from his hospital bed, with such good humour and interesting medical detail, that he gained a large and very supportive following of mobloggers from all over the globe. The Moblog community was a great help in keeping up his spirits at a very difficult time.

Twiglet says:

I was shocked when I realised how many years ago it is since he died. Time flies, life goes on, I hope his family are well x

I could no sooner ride a unicycle than fly, but I love the suit!
I was just looking back over Alex's blog last week. Such a sad loss, but he remained so positive, a real hero.

Thanks Twiglet, I see Jenny (Alex's mum) on a regular basis, she is a lovely person and is so upbeat despite all sorts of health problems.

Joker, yes, Alex was a real hero, and I think you suit that suit (colour co ordinated) and it is only the cymbals that clash ;)

Nige, always in the swing of things :)

Geodyne says:

How coincidental.

I found my "Neutropenic Alex is a Superhero" book while unpacking one day last week, and suspended all unpacking to read back through it, and think of him and everyone.

Hi Geo,
So good to hear from you, hope all is going well for you out there.
We have to thank Joker for the Superhero Alex book,
Good to remember the 'Old Times' Dave and I still talk about our walk with you through the Wicken Fens ..... we are hoping to go back there soon as we have friends who have just moved into the area

Geodyne says:

Oh, that would be lovely. I remember that day with fondness as well.

Gael and I went for a walk there a couple of days before I moved. It's always lovely.
