The Midwich Cuckoos
I read and enjoyed Day of the Triffids years ago, and when i found out The Midwich Cuckoos was the book the Village of the Damned films were based on, i had to read it. Ace book, even though i knew what was coming. The Children were definitely eerier in the book than the films. I foresee more Wyndham in my future.

I read this at school it was the first John Wyndham book I read. I've also read Triffids. CM has them all with the exception of the Outward Urge,as you probably know his subject at university was Eng Lit.

I liked the Midwich cuckoos though, far superior to the film which was based on it.

I just added to Chocky to my wishlist. And then went ahead and added The Chrysalids, The Kraken Wakes, Trouble with Lichen and Plan for Chaos...

Today i discovered Trouble with Lichen on one of my bookshelves, with a bookmark a couple of chapters in. I have no recollection of this, but it was a lovely surprise :)
