Closeups, besides would have been much better.
Hi humvee78 thank-you for feedback, "close ups" what was I going to get close up? please help me here. Some People were masked some were not, I tried a few shots and whilst my phone has a 5mp camera and very good zoom it kept telling me I was shaking to much to get a clear picture in focus, having said that I have deliberately made people in the pics blurry in order to protect their privacy.
See answer 2 below
"Why black and white "? In the 1st pic in the background there is a building in colour called telepathic heights, this was a squat that was raided a year age that sparked riots http://moblog.net/view/952347/welcome-to-crofthood-aka-croftville I thought getting that in the pic was good (this is a demonstration about the new anti squatting laws being passed in the uk)
pic 2 the building in the backgroung is called The Free shop which was empty for 20years before being squatted (free shop = anyone can take their unwanted goods there and take anything they see there for free) many times raided but it still survives.
in pic 3-4 there was running battles with security when the sign was put up and torn down many times , in the last pic the sign was finally put up outside bristol magistrate courts, the sign says contempt of court) so the sign or banner became the issue which is why it is in colour,
please bear in mind the places this march went are places where no camera pics are allowed I cant post pics taken on private property of people, (ive been kicked out many times in past just trying to get pics of its architecture ) this is not the whole set just a selection I thought fitted in this coloursplash group.
Feedback welcome because some of these pics and others may appear on political web sites and if I cant tell a story in 10 pics, im in trouble
Ps for street pics have a look at this blog whilst not political im always amazed by them
