Today Graham Stuart MP officialy opened all of the building work that we have had done over the past year. Including resiting our pedestrian entrance and the new fence around the school.

The following is the press release from Graham Stuart's website.
Local MP marks a century of boys and girls at Leven Primary School by officially opening improvement works
Graham Stuart, the MP for Beverley and Holderness, visited Leven Primary School on Friday 20th April to mark the one hundredth anniversary of the boys and girls schools merging on the site. He inspected and then opened the new and improved facilities, met teachers and pupils and celebrated the school’s continuing role in local life.

The school have recently made a large number of alterations to their site, including relocating the entrance and building new fencing.

To celebrate a century of boys and girls coming together in the same school, pupils took part in an ‘Edwardian’ themed day to learn what life would have been like in 1912. This saw them dressing up in period costumes and taking part in activities that ranged from woodwork to flower arranging and circus skills to brass band music.

Graham said “I enjoyed visiting Leven Primary School to cut the ribbon and officially open the new look site. The school now has excellent modern facilities to complement its long history. The school is full of creativity and energy and the children were perfectly behaved and, I hope, enjoyed the day.”

The garland made by the girls on our Edwardian day looked beautiful.
