MAMMOTH ONION GROWING COMPETITION
We want to see if the onions grow better in England or in Cameroon.
A "Mammoth" onion currently holds the world record for the heaviest onion.
This photo was taken at Leven school on 25/4/12 and shows the first of our onion seedlings starting to grow.
Mr Dolman says:
Unfortunately the onions didn't grow very well. The ones at Leven were very small because of the damp summer and the ones in Cameroon were also very small because of the heat. The ones at Hook were ok and grew to the size of a normal onion!
