Book Twenty Four.

BeardyMan suggested i read this book ages and ages ago. When i found out it included animal torture, i was a bit wary. But i gave it ago. Aaaaaaand... i loved it. The violent and graphic aspects are really not that bad. It's very funny. And i didn't want to put it down. I finished it at about 6am this morning when i couldn't sleep. Definitely reading more Banks in the future.

The Crow Road is my absolute favourite and the BBC TV series was pretty damn good too.

Even though Banks is very highly thought of, I have only read this one, Whit and the Crow road and it's years since I read them. I might give them another go some time, G has the Crow Road on his reader.

I read about BBC TV series, but always imagine TV adaptations of books to be awful...

Craft says:

I loved the TV series BUT I saw it before I read the book so all the characters had the TV series faces, so no disappointments for me! It was pretty much faithful to the book too. It was because I enjoyed the TV adaptation so much that I read the book....

Excellent book, really liked it. The thing that really sticks in my head about the Wasp Factory is that I was eating when I read the bit about what happened to Eric. Eating rice.

What happened to Eric was the only part in the book that actually grossed me out, but even that was in an 'eww, gross (cool!)' way.
