It bloomed exactly on time (April 9.)

But you guys have been having some seriously cold weather lately.

Viv says:

warmig up a bit now :) Everything is about a month later than last year anyway - our climate is not very predictable!

I noticed one or two trees here had blossom on them when out today.

Waiting for that here, there's one in my mother's garden so it's easy to spot.

You guys have had a really cold spring though, so it's not surprising. It's been much, much warmer here over the past two weeks.

I had ice on mybrooftopngarden for 9 weeks! I don't remember it happening for more than 2 days at a time before. I know it was mostly windchill, but even so...

Yeah I spent most of the winter asking you folks to send NYC its weather back. We actually *need* the cold in the winter- without it we have big insect problems in spring.

Dhamaka says:

I put my plants out too early and they're suffering, I keep telling myself there will be fewer insects to feel better about it. Hope it doesn't get to unbearable there for you and that you'll moblog it either way.

Oh and hello Geodyne if you're looking...

To be honest, I just don't go out of the house often enough these days to moblog anything, and really the cats are cute but there's only so many photos of them I can take. I do have a new phone which takes much better photos (as evidenced- this is a phone shot) but i haven't really been outside much to take pictures of anything.

Dhamaka says:

But if it gets hot and insects it'll bother you and you might blog it then...

bronxelf says:

No no. I don't think I was clear.

I don't mean insects outside. I mean insects INSIDE. Last year we had a very warm winter, and my usually bug-free home saw more insect activity than the past five years combined. I was so grateful when the weather got brutally cold this winter, and was happy for every day we had where the temperatures were below freezing.

I understood... And now you have a new phonecam to share them with us with...
