"I tried once to open too many doors at a time, it was unproductive and confusing.
I just learned the last lesson, Dad. I'm supposed to open just one at a time, and only when I reach them along the path, this 'hike' we are taking. That's when the key fits, and opens the lock perfectly, every time. Thank you, Dad. I love you, and miss you. I am blessed with an amazing husband now, he holds my hand as we walk along paths too. We are climbing a little steeper now, with more effort, and thinner air. But I'm not worried. I am looking up. I am living in the moment, being now. Because when we get to the next door, along our path, I know, Dad, . . . that key is going to fit, perfectly!"

Beautiful family accompaniment can seem like music when it all comes together. We enjoyed such moments when Ken's cousins, Kathy and Brian, came visiting from Chicago. Though we are settled in at our new home, we have not yet set up the spare bedroom. Generously, Bob and Odette offered the trailer as a base camp for Kathy and Brian's stay.
Here we are at the Caloosahatchee Preserve, in North Fort Myers, before hitting the beaches in Venice. Kathy and Brian went on to enjoy Sanibel, Fort Myers Beach and the Everglades. Bob, Odette and Alexis were checking out Fort Lauderdale and the Keys. We met up with everyone Sunday for a fun report of sights and sun. Odette shared glamorous shots from Pier 66 and the Jungle Queen Riverboat. Ken and the cousins toured the Edison Estate in Fort Myers. Brian braved the Everglades in the rain aboard an airboat to spy the gators! Kathy and I shared the green gills of flu and bonded like summer camp sisters. She spotted 'Jesus' at Fort Myers beach, complete with robe, crown of thorns, walking stick and bicycle! "We're all trying to find Jesus, Ruth." still makes me smile, as i remember it being hard to say goodbye. Another gift from my husband, cousins to share. There are gaps in my life my husband fills, sometimes even without knowing. My family is estranged, but his opens their arms wide. From Brian's homemade, gluten free, Snicker-doodles (hopefully soon on the market) to Kathy's soaps and shower gels, no gift is sweeter than themselves. We enjoyed our cousins company and conversation, despite our work schedules, and look forward to their return next year. Have a safe trip back, my new dearest cousins~

Our time together at Venice Beach reminded me of a new release by Oskar Schuster - Vleurgat. Here is his demo for a much anticipated album release.
It quietly beautiful, and fills your heart with a smile~;=WSf3q0VBb9I

Beautiful cousin picture. Thanks for taking good care of my sister and bro-in-law. I am now an Oskar fan.
Love to you both, Annette.

Oh, Hi! We love you all too! It was our pleasure! So much more fun to share the beauty down here~ Isn't Oskar amazing? Found him on Free Music Archive and was hooked with Sneeuwland. I was really touched to receive a hand signed copy of Les Valses Invisibles from Berlin! What a brilliant young composer! Welcome to the picnic, Annette! hugz, ruth
