"I tried once to open too many doors at a time, it was unproductive and confusing.
I just learned the last lesson, Dad. I'm supposed to open just one at a time, and only when I reach them along the path, this 'hike' we are taking. That's when the key fits, and opens the lock perfectly, every time. Thank you, Dad. I love you, and miss you. I am blessed with an amazing husband now, he holds my hand as we walk along paths too. We are climbing a little steeper now, with more effort, and thinner air. But I'm not worried. I am looking up. I am living in the moment, being now. Because when we get to the next door, along our path, I know, Dad, . . . that key is going to fit, perfectly!"

a recent visit from my Chi-town daughter helped me to appreciate my new home state! we hit the Everglades, beaches at Sanibel, Naples, Venice and Fort Myers, and an Exotic Bird Sanctuary!
she learned how to hang on during an airboat ride, hug an alligator, bond with a macaw, tickle an 300 lb python, tell the difference between a king snake and coral snake as she held a king snake, spot wild life on Cypress boardwalks, and avoid the dreaded fire ant hills.

Mr. Ken even taught her how to snorkel and use a hookah dive air system.

I got to visit the Skunk Ape Research Headquarters of Florida! (now i can cross that off my bucket list)

What A Great Time!!! So happy she had a great vacation from her busy schedule as the nurse in an Alzheimer's unit at a nursing home with dozens of patients to care for at once. What an brilliant professional she is at the age of 24!

appreciating the treasure in my youngest child~
