yes. when I saw them tour for The Fragile, in '01, I ... uh... well. it was the worst concert/gig I'd been to in my entire life. : \\
if it'd been billed as "possibly live music played behind three of the largest screens you've ever seen in your life" , it'd have been more-okay.
I wanted to see them this tour, but, not enough, I guess.
it was good, though, aside from the cells? : )
Yeah, it was really good actually. I think after the Fragile tour they decided to rely less on the whole effects and stuff. There were two songs with this screen (which was semi-transparent) down, but the band was spotlighted so you could see them through the screen.
The first song was really good as they had the screen down and different lights revolving around each person, so you had these huge shadows of each person playing instruments. The rest of the show was special effect-free though, and fantastic.
Highlight of the gig Rare?. My favourite NIN moment is the guitar riff halfway through ruiner, truly awesome. New cd is good but trent has lost his edge, must be the millions in the bank.
Not sure what was the highlight. I liked Right Where it Belongs, and had never seen the whole everyone-waving-lighters-around thing before. Plus that's my favorite song on the With Teeth album. I agree that album isn't as good as previous stuff (it's amazing what being sober and off drugs can do to your music...), but I still think it's pretty damn good. Needs a few listens though.
